Jay has been on a journey of re-imagining his practices for the past decade. In his current role as Director of Teaching and Learning he has developed a passion for creating learning cultures that challenge learners to slow down, think deeply and consider different possibilities in the service of developing understanding.
Using routines to re-imagine the story of your classroom
Our teaching practices tell a story of what is valued and what is important, and in doing so shape a student’s image of who they are and how they are valued. In this workshop, Jay will lead participants through a number of thinking routines and protocols that will assist in re-imagining the story our classroom practices tell students, that as image bearers their thinking, questions, input, and participation, are valued as part of their learning journey.
