Description

Reimagining Reconciliation: Australia’s new story

Can you imagine a future where Indigenous and non-Indigenous people are united in our national pride?

Schools are where it all begins.

Imagine if all educators felt confident to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in their learning communities – how might this affect the future generation’s understanding of our Australian story?

In this session Mark will challenge you to consider a new story for all Australians based on 5 key ideas. He’ll walk you through elements of our shared history and you’ll explore the intrinsic relationship between culture and identity, uncovering new ideas and perspectives. Mark’s presentation will guide you towards your own understanding of what it means to reimagine Reconciliation for all Australians.

We develop Professional Learning and curriculum resources to support teachers to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in culturally appropriate and sensitive ways. All of our resources align with the Australian Curriculum and AITSL Teacher Standard 2.4.
